“24 h at the UB”: a day at the University

The UB sets up the multimedia project "24 h at the UB", a pioneer initiative in Spain. The initiative, promoted by the units of Corporative Image and Publicity, Communication, and Web Development, aims at showing the activity occurred at the University during one day, on a website which will show the messages sent by university community members.


24 h at the UB” is a collaborative project which wants to capture the diversity of all the events and activities carried out at the University for 24 hours in a certain day, on Wednesday 8th May. To achieve this objective, UB community is encouraged to participate actively in this initiative by sending their proposals to explain or illustrate any activity carried out in any centre of the University or any personal experience.

All university community members can participate in the project “24 h at the UB” , that is students, teaching and research staff, administrative and service staff of the UB and the UB Group, members of the affiliated centres, former students, etc. In short, every person who is or has been part of the UB, in Barcelona or in any other place around the world, is encouraged to participate.

The website of the project will be built throughout 8th May with the contributions made by university community members on Twitter —with the hashtag #UB24h— or by the form available on the website. Contents sent by participants can be messages, photographs, videos, tweets, anecdotes, stories, etc. which show their daily life at the UB, their work at the University or their memories of their stay at the institution. At the end of the day, the website will show a report of a day at the University. After 8th May, the website will continue to be active as a resource to promote the UB.
