The General Director of the FBG, M. Carme Verdaguer, vice president of ProTon Europe

The Board of Directors of ProTon Europe has appointed the General Director of the FBG, M. Carme Verdaguer, vice president. The appointment was made as part of the annual convention of the European association of knowledge transfer, which took place in Belgium. At this stage, Verdaguer will participate in the creation of a new European partnership for transferring knowledge and technology, in order to enhance synergies and strengths of both organizations and allow better serve its members, both professional and institutional.


“We want this new partnership going to be a driving force to transform university research into innovation, helping to strengthen and promote the relationships between industry and the university,” said Verdaguer.

ProTon Europe is the pan-European Association of Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs) affiliated to universities and public research organizations. It was funded in 2003 by the European Commission and is self supporting since 2007 under its Gate2Growth initiative. Its purpose is to promote innovation in Europe by more effective knowledge transfer from universities and other research organisations funded primarily from public sources (Public Research Organisations or PRO) in order to contribute to the recognition and support of public research, economic development and public welfare in general.
