Qiagen and the PCB are holding a food drive to help the refugees, open to the whole PCB Community. All the food will be sent to Poland

Qiagen is a global company in the health sector with a location at the PCB that focuses on developing diagnostic kits.

It also has a branch in Wrocław, Poland, where they have seen the effects of the war in Ukraine first hand and are proactively helping support refugees. For weeks, they have been giving out food and other materials to refugees, but they have now run out of supplies. So, Qiagen is launching this food drive internationally through all its branches and Qiagen BCN is opening it up to the whole PCB Community.

Any companies or individuals interested in donating food can bring items to the PCB, and Qiagen BCN will take care of shipping everything to Poland and distributing it to those in need.

For this type of food drive, it is best to donate items that don’t expire for a long time (rice, pasta, tins, grains, legumes, freeze-dried food, baby formula, etc.) and are suited for transport. It is important to remember that the drive can’t accept medications or items that require special conditions (refrigerated, frozen).

The food drive will be held from 25 April to 6 May. Items can be left at the Cluster II reception.

All of us at Qiagen BCN and the PCB invite and encourage you to join in, donating what you see fit personally and as a company.

Thank you in advance for your help, and a special thanks to Qiagen for leading and sharing this food drive.
