May 14: Sign up for the training session, “Where should humanity be headed?”

Salvador Macip will lead a training session for research and teaching staff in which he will invite debate on four current issues of social importance using the tools provided by bioethics.

The aim is to learn to reflect, delving into our own values and limits, in order to understand the importance of the social changes that scientific advances can bring about. On the threshold of a new technological and scientific revolution, it is important to realise that research has a lot to do with us and our future and is not just an activity limited to the laboratory.

Macip is a doctor, researcher, writer and science populiser, currently director of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the UOC and professor of Molecular Medicine at the University of Leicester, as well as a collaborator with the Victor Grifols i Lucas Foundation.

Organized by: PCB and the Victor Grifols i Lucas Foundation
Date: Tuesday 14 May (4 to 6 p.m.)
Location: Dolors Aleu Room
