Summer is here and so are the bonfires!

As the summer days grow longer they bring with them a time of open-air festivals, get-togethers and parties. Let’s take a moment and remember what kind of sustainability criteria can be applied when groups get together:

– Plates, glasses, cups, cutlery and napkins should not be disposable. If there are no other options, paper and cardboard are preferable, as they are easier to recycle.

– Decorations are best made of paper, cardboard or fabric.

– As for the food, remember to choose seasonal local products and adjust the quantities to the number of guests so as not to waste food.

– For beverages, large container formats are preferable to individual ones.

– Ensure that the waste generated can be sorted and separated accordingly; paper or glass waste is preferable. It is also important to have visible and accessible sorting bins.

Let’s celebrate our local festivities and festivals to the max with the minimum environmental footprint, and don’t forget that bonfires and fireworks can cause fires or injuries. Remember to take good sense to the party!
