IBEC and the municipality of Sant Feliu de Guíxols join forces to create health exhibition

On Monday 16th June IBEC signed an agreement with the council of Sant Feliu de Guíxols to work together on a new museum exhibit on the history of health and medicine in Catalunya, "Curar-se en salut".

Sant Feliu de Guíxols’ Museu d’Història will host the exhibition, which will have six major thematic areas with a entertaining and educational format. IBEC’s part of the exhibition will focus on the present day situation of medicine as well as reflecting on the future. The institute will develop the exhibition’s content with its scientific expertise, and both sides will work together to conduct educational workshops related to research in bioengineering and nanomedicine.

IBEC is very flattered to be invited by Sant Feliu to participate in the exhibition, as it is a confirmation of our significant contribution to bioengineering in the health sector, and of our position as front runners in future medicine,” says David Badia, IBEC’s managing director. “Such initiatives are central to the missions of centres such as IBEC, as they help bring science closer to society.”
