Shall we take the stairs? New initiative to promote healthy habits at the PCB

The PCB has just launched a new initiative as part of its Health Plan, led by Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety, to encourage taking the stairs as part of our efforts to promote healthy lifestyles among all members of the community.

You’ll find stickers with short, witty messages on the doors of the various lifts in the buildings, inviting you to use the stairs as you go about your day. A habit that not only contributes to our physical health, but which is also a way to reduce energy consumption and improve the sustainability of our work environment.

The GR of drug discovery

Besides the stickers at the lifts, each landing on Tower I’s 11 floors has also been decorated with a story describing the different stages of a drug’s discovery. This metaphorical Grand Tour (GR) is taken, at different stages of the process, by many of the entities that work in the PCB with the ultimate goal of improving people’s lives and health. Every step we take is a step forward for health and scientific knowledge. We invite you to have a wander!

Some of the benefits of taking the stairs:

– Improves cardiovascular health.
– Strengthens the muscles-
– Burns calories.
– Improves mental health.
– Promotes sustainability.

Take part in this initiative to make small everyday changes just another step towards healthier living and a more sustainable future.
