Students from the Summer Science Campuses visit the Barcelona Science Park

A group of students who are currently participating in the Summer Science Campuses hosted by the University of Barcelona (UB), the Polytechnic University of Cataloia (UPC) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) has visited the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) in order to deeper insight into the project. Their stay at the PCB –which is part of the Knowledge Campus- is included within a programme encompassing research and scientific and cultural activities, such as conferences and meetings.

A total of 300 students from all over Spain are participating in this initiative, which is organized by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Ministry of Education, with the aim of fostering scientific vocations in young people by allowing them to carry out activities over the course of fifteen days in different centres and on different topics.

The students, who have been selected to participate in the Campus based on their academic achievements, will work on different scientific and technological projects, and will subsequently present the results obtained. Next July 28 another group, which will be joining the project within these next two weeks, will visit the PCB.
