The Barcelona Science Park celebrates Sant Jordi’s Day

Coinciding with Sant Jordi’s Day, the Book Festival of Catalonia, the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) will be holding a participative event open to the entire PCB community that will take place at the Aula Fèlix Serratosa (Baldiri Reixac,10). The event will feature the narrative reading of "The Autobiography of Charles Darwin". The literary work chosen is a Catalan version of the full original text translated directly from the English language and is part of the Collection of Monographs of the Mètode magazine. The original text in English will also be available for those who prefer to read it in English. The readings will take place in Catalan (10:30 to 14:00) and in English (14:00 to 18:00). Through this initiative, the PCB wishes to commemorates the 200 year anniversay of the birth of the renowned English naturalist and the 150 anniversary of his best known book: "The Origin of Species"

The event will be broadcasted live through the PCB’s internal network and the first 50 people that participate in the event will receive a free copy of the book. Prior registration to participate is required in order to coordinate the schedule of events and reading times.

Another initiative that the PCB has undertaken for that same day is a book parade at the entrance hall of the Cluster (Baldiri Reixac, 10), where everyone will have the opportunity to swap a book for another book. As traditionally done, the parade will be open from 9h and all participants will be given a bookmark, which will also be used to record the transactions.

Through these two proposals, the PCB wishes to extend its desire for innovation to all its initiatives. We appreciate your collaboration and hope to see you at the book festival!.

¡Happy Sant Jordi’s Day!
