Esteve is recognized as a”Healthy Company” by the INSSBT

Esteve, wast recognized as a "Healthy Company" by the Spanish National Institute for Safety, Health and Wellbeing at Work (INSSBT) from the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, at the 3rd Meeting of the Spanish Network of Healthy Companies held in Madrid on May 10th. The pharmaceutical chemical group has located its Drug Discovery and Preclinical Development Units at the Barcelona Science Park.

Esteve’s Healthy Company Program revolves around the four axes of Move Europe, an European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP) initiative which aims to improve healthy habits in both workers and society. Most current risk factors can be modified by building new healthy habits. The program aims to ensure the health, prevent disease, foster active ageing of our workers, and contribute to compliance with SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

Most relevant among other actions of the EsteveHealthy Company program is the “Move for you, move for them” initiative to promote physical activity, and solidarity, with increased participation in 2017. In addition to taking action to prevent cardiovascular diseases, all Estevework centers are certified “Cardiac Protected Areas” and include defibrillators and staff trained on their use in people suffering a cardiac arrest.

Esteve  adhered to the Luxembourg Declaration in 2015 and undertook to integrate the promotion of health at work.
