Covid-19: Ramping up safety measures

This week, we’ve once again seen high numbers of positive Covid-19 cases among the PCB community. All of them caught the virus outside of the work environment. This is parallel to the general situation in Catalonia with the increase in cases and the negative impact of the Delta strain, which has led the Government to announce that new measures to prevent the spread of the virus will go into effect from 9 July.

The main changes, which will apply for 14 days, affect nightclubs and mass events, plus a recommendation that masks be worn at all times.Within the Community, we ask that you be extra cautious during group activities, whether in meetings or during breaks, and recommend not hosting catered events or activities that would have participants talking without a mask, even if outdoors.

This is also the time to strictly apply social distancing measures, use the stairs whenever possible, respect maximum occupancy in all spaces and lifts, and wash hands frequently.

Also remember that if someone begins to feel bad at work, they must be sent home and their workspace must be disinfected with ethyl alcohol. Their close contacts and prevention service must also be notified.
