New science equipment in the SCC-PCB

As part of their ongoing equipment renewal plan, Joint Scientific Services (SCC-PCB) have acquired the following equipment so far in 2024:

  • ODYSSEY M chemiluminescence, visible and NIR fluorescence, and RGB system
  • LISA vented benchtop centrifuge with rotor for 400 ml bottle adapters, 50 ml Falcon tubes and 15 ml Falcon tubes
  • Avanti J-26S XP high-speed centrifuge
  • JA10 high-speed centrifuge rotors (2 units)
  • CRYOMASTER 6000 nitrogen container w/ capacity for 6,000 vials
  • Countess 3 cell counter
  • 5418 R Eppendorf refrigerated centrifuge
  • Innova 42R bacterial incubator shaker (to be installed)
  • Ts2 routine microscope

A sonicator, an ice machine and a fluorescence and imaging microscope are also due to be purchased in May this year.
