The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation presents at the Big Data Week

The Big Data Week 2014 is an international event that celebrates the 2014 third edition. Entities to twenty cities worldwide networked organize lectures, debates, workshops and paper presentations on the impact of the phenomenon of massive data on economic, political, technological, social and commercial areas. The FBG has developed a brochure with the UB research groups and centers that offer services in R+D+i for companies and institutions in the field of analysis of large volumes of data. The document contains basic information about the area in which the center or research group focuses


The 3rd edition of Big Data Week held on the 5th of May in over 30+ cities worldwide as the largest crowd-sourced festival of events, meet-ups, workshops and hackathons focused on the social, political, technological and commercial impacts of data.The event is a platform for thousands of data scientists, data technologists, data visualisers and leaders from the business, not-for-profit and governments sectors to share how big data is impacting their organisations.

The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (FBG) focuses on promoting and managing the transfer of the knowledge and technology generated at the University of Barcelona. The FBG was created in 1983 and has become the catalyst for the link between the university, business and society. The institution manages over 800 projects every year, and over 600 of these involve contracts with businesses and institutions.
