The first large study on the reality of nanotechnology in Catalonia is launched

The Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) –based at the Barcelona Science Park-, the University of Barcelona (UB), the University of Girona (UdG) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) have been working together for the past few months on a pioneer study on the development and innovation capacities of nanobiotechnologies in the Catalan technological market. The driving forces behind this study are professors Josep Samitier, associate director of the IBEC, Jaume Valls and Esteve Juanola, all of whom are affiliated to several organizations of the Catalan R+D+I system.
