Presentation of the Business Angels Network

On Wednesday 20 September, the CaixaForum will host the presentation of the University Network Business Angels (UniBA Network), an initiative that involves the University of Barcelona, through the of the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation. The network seeks to promote relations between innovative projects, the so-called business angels, private investors that can provide business knowledge, experience and financial support.

The UniBA network has been developed as the result of an agreement between the five leading universities in entrepreneurship and innovation in Catalonia (UB, UAB, UdG, UPC i La Salle-URL) to promote synergies in the business, public administration and university sectors. In this regard, this network seeks to bring new and emerging technology-based enterprises with an innovative profile into contact with potential private investors. In addition, it aims to become a national and international reference model in this field and a model of interuniversity relationships.

The presentation will bejín at 9.30 h and will involve the following: the Secretary for Industry (Government of Catalonia) and director of CIDEM, Joan Josep Berbel; the director of the Programa Innova (UPC), Francesc Solé; the manager of the UniBa Network, Daniel Borrero; the vicepresident of the Keiretsu Forum USA, Judith Iglehart; and the director of the La Salle Innovation Park, Josep M. Piqué.
