The Futbol Club Barcelona Foundation moves its headquarters to Barcelona Science Park

The Futbol Club Barcelona Foundation –the entity through which Futbol Club Barcelona conveys its corporate social responsibility– has taken a step forwards its growth and future projection by changing their main headquarters to the Barcelona Science Park building complex. The new premises will imply the entity can enjoy a quite wider space and a major growth. The old premises were previously located at the Social Area building of FC Barcelona.

The new location separates the Foundation from the Barcelona Football Club premises, but a bond of proximity is maintained, because Barcelona Science Park is not far from the Club main headquarters. This move is the product of the new Strategy Plan which will make the entity develop within the next years, create new projects and increase humanitarian and sporting activities in Catalonia and around the world.

A significant contribution to achieving a more equal and inclusive society

The FC Barcelona Foundation is the entity through which FC Barcelona conveys its corporate social responsibility. On the basis of experience in the field of sport and values, the Foundation proposes a programme of action aimed at transmitting positive values to children and adolescents, which involves sporting activities as a means to promote healthy development.

Since its founding in 1994, the entityhas helped people take part in the many social, cultural and sporting activities that the Club has carried out, a reflection of an advanced society that has found in the Club and the Foundation the ideal vehicle for such activities.

As of  2010, the players and coaching staff from the professional sections of the Futbol Club Barcelona  also donate 0.5% of their wages to the FC Barcelona Foundation.
