The PCB signs a collaboration agreement with the Technologiepark Heidelberg

On 29 November, the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB, Barcelona Science Park) and the Technologiepark Heidelberg signed a collaboration agreement which seeks to promote the exchange of information on their respective experience regarding the development and management of science parks, their position in the science-technology-business system of each country and their role as a key agents in the development of the respective bioregions.

The agreement, signed by Klaus Plate, director of the Technologiepark Heidelberg, and Màrius Rubiralta, director of the PCB, also highlights the interest of these two entities in exchanging know-how and technology and sharing their experience acquired in supporting the development of biotech spin-offs and research commercialisation strategies.

Founded in 1985 and promoted by the city of Heidelberg and the Rhein-Neckar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Technologiepark Heidelberg is a German science park specialized in life sciences, mainly biotechnology. Located on the University of Heidelberg campus, the park hosts 58 companies and institutions and is one of the leading sites, among others, of the enterprising Rhein-Nechar-Dreieck Bioregion.

This is the third agreement that the PCB has signed with institutions related to research and innovation. The park has also established collaboration agreements with the business incubator Québec Biotecnology Innovation Centre and the Cooperative Research Centre on Biosciences (CIC Biogune).
